The candidate will oversee the development of rate level indications, ad-hoc pricing assignments (reviewing large deductible model, reinsurance reviews, trends), and quarterly reserving. The candidate will also reviewmanage compliance filings completed by analysts. The responsibilities will be to answer Analysts' questions, review their work, and make decisions. Our work spans a variety of property-casualty commercial lines. The candidate will also work closely with our various Subsidiaries, our (Chicago-based) Executive team and Compliance team who are also in the Chicago office. Our hybrid work program provides flexibility for 2 remote days per week3 in office days per week.Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:Develop rate level indications and other information in support of compliance filingsAssist the actuarial team with data prep for pricing and reserving projectsDeliver error-free work product in a timely manner with minimal supervisionClarification of business requirements as neededPerform quality reviews of others' workPrioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyEffective communication of results and conclusionsComplete other duties as assignedAnalyst management optionalExperienceRequired Skills:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university4+ years of property-casualty actuarialfiling experienceSuccessful completion of at least two actuarial examsContinuing with exams will be supported by our exam program but this position is open to non-exam takers as wellDemonstrated problem solving and analytical abilitiesStrong planning, organization, and time management skillsTakes initiative on projects and assignmentsExcellent communication skills on multiple platforms and customer service skills including ability to effectively communicate with non-actuariesAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsAttention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially ExcelOld Republic International "ORI" is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
