Zanda partners with VCs, Founders, CEOs and CFOs when it comes to successfully delivering on key senior appointments.Who's the business:Zanda is partnering with a Series B Fintech company that is dedicated to revolutionizing business banking platforms with everything needed to manage company's cash and growth. Your responsibilities as a Controller include:Lead all aspects of the company's accounting function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of financial reporting.Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports to provide insights to management and stakeholders.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize efficiency in financial operations.Cultivate and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers.Mentor and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.Support strategic initiatives and special projects by providing financial insights and analysis to facilitate decision-making.If you have the following experience, we would love to hear from you:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment, preferably within the fintech sector.Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.Expertise in technical accounting related to banking andor credit card industries is highly desirable.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.Previous experience in Treasury operations is preferred.Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring finance professionals.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
