Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our team! This individual will be based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office. The Revenue Accountant will perform operational, transactional and technical accounting activities in accordance with established policy, procedures, and objectives. We are driven to set goals high and aim even higher.General Responsibilities: Create and post monthly 606 revenue recognition journal entries.Assist in analyzing revenue to ensure compliance with 606.Assist with budgeting for 606 revenue.Assist with the analysis and integration of revenue for future acquisitions.Assist with various projects to improve revenue recognition processes.Become subject matter expert in ASC 606 revenue recognition and related B&B processes and guidelines.Meet any assigned deadlines.Build courteous and successful relationships with various office staff to maintain efficient practices.Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.Other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related fieldProficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Word, and Excel3+ years accounting experienceDemonstrated knowledge in ASC 606Preferred Qualifications: Insurance industry experienceWhat we offer: Excellent growth and advancement opportunitiesCompetitive pay based on experienceGenerous benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.Employee Stock Purchase PlanTuition Reimbursement and Student Loan Repayment AssistanceMental Health Resources
