As the QA Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of talented manual and automation QA engineers. Your primary goal will be to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products across a range of competing projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a drive to increase automation within the QA process.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of manual and automation QA engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and technical supportHandles Talent Management processes within their responsibilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to define quality goals and deliverablesDevelop and implement QA strategies, standards, and processes to ensure consistent and efficient testing practicesConduct regular assessments of the QA team's performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate training programsDrive the adoption of automation testing techniques and tools, with the objective of increasing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the QA processPrioritize and allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, balancing competing deadlines and demandsCollaborate with product owners to define acceptance criteria and ensure proper test coverageStay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and software development, sharing knowledge and insights with the teamRequired Experience and Job QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in leading and managing multinational team of QA engineersStrong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologiesProficiency in Manual testingStrong Automation testing skills, with expertise in at least one popular automation frameworkExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challengesExperience in developing and implementing automation testing strategiesStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersDetail-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality software productsProactive and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with AgileScrum development methodologiesFamiliarity with continuous integrationcontinuous deployment (CICD) processesKnowledge of cloud-based testing environments and toolsRelevant certifications in software testing or quality assuranceThe ideal candidate can take the 20 and figure out the 80, has situational awareness and understands the chain of command as they represent others before they represent themselves.
