OverviewDo you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects?The Preconstruction DirectorExecutive will be an integral member of the team on a daily and weekly basis, attend or delegate attendance at all pertinent meetings, and become the go to resource, which ensures cost and constructability considerations become an integral part of all design decisions and ensure no surprises in the areas of cost, schedule, and quality.It is inherent that this candidate is recognized by the entire team as someone who adds true value to the process so they actively seek out the advice and concurrence of the Preconstruction Executive.This is a Nashville, TN based positionClient;This Client is an Top-40 ENR Contractor consistently recognized as one of the most reputable General Contractors in the country.You will have the opportunity to build schools, labs, hospitals, corporate offices, sports arenas, airports and more!We are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.What's in it for you?The Preconstruction Director plays a critical role within the business unit.By joining the company at this level, you have opportunity influence decision that are made, provide expertise as it relates to preconstruction, and you will work with a team of experienced professionals that will provide initial training and guidance, and long-term partnership.Responsibilities• Functionally perform the role of a Project Executive on multiple projects during the design phase and will be the point person leading the effort in the eyes of the client and design partner• Manage entire preconstruction process to ensure a design which meets the clients functional, cost, and schedule requirements without engaging in significant redesign.• Conceptual estimating experience is highly desirable• Plan and lead the preconstruction strategy meeting on the approach to the project or estimate.• Assure that potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with senior management ( i.e. Peer Review, if required , contract bond authorization, contract review, insurance review, etc.) maintaining subcontractor evaluations.EXPERIENCEEDUCATION• Bachelor's degree preferred• 10+ years of Preconstruction experience in a similar capacity in the United States• In depth knowledge of design and construction practices and materials• Exceptional verbal, written, and stand up communication skills• Working knowledge of estimating, purchasing , and scheduling• Highly refined interpersonal and leadership skills• Strong planning and risk management skills• Background and experience with healthcare, commercial, Airport, life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, and higher educationSalary:$180,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Auto allowance + healthcare, + relocationGenerous profit-sharing401k plan.
