Job Description:

This position will be responsible for ensuring that purchased goods, materials and services and company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. Buyer will support one or more procurement category and respective suppliers in terms of purchasing. Buyer have the responsibility for management and performance of tactical procurement responsibilities, including but not limited to, PO management, parts lead-times, gather quotes, invoices, reporting, supplier quality and performance, fill-rate, backorders, savings report, purchase price variance (PPV) analysis. You will directly interact with internal stakeholders from different department and with external vendorsCORE RESPONSIBILITIESWork closely with BlueCrest Supply Chain Team to execute against defined and prioritized strategic initiativesEnsure the correct parts are ordered through thorough and detailed analysis based on line of business forecast(s), historical buys and introductionsuperseding of solutionsProcesses MRP demands, issues quotes, and generates purchases orders dailyEnsure timely receipt and processing of order acknowledgementsConstantly assess inventory levels to optimize across assigned geographic areasCreate appropriate dashboards to better drive the business to meet goals and objectives, including savings reports.Works with suppliers to ensure accurate lead-times and supplier stocking plansManage metrics for purchasing and supplier performanceCoordinating with Inventory Management on recommendations for EOQAOQ adjustmentsManages open invoices to ensure timely payments to suppliers and resolve any open issuesConduct self-motivated analysis for key business areas to drive improvementsbenefitsAssist suppliers with technical issues affecting material deliveriesInterface with Strategic Sourcing, Demand Planning, Engineering, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering and material groups to support material deliveries via correct ordering processesIdentify and implement process improvements to improve efficiencies, costs and waste reductionKEY RELATIONSHIPSThe role will report to the Director of Supply & Inventory Planning and collaborates with materials, finance, planning and other various departments.QUALIFICATIONS (SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS)MINIMUM:Minimum of three (3) years related experience with evidence of increasing responsibility preferredSupervisorymanagement experience preferredBachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in business administration or management, and substantial experience with a previous background in Procurement Supply Chain International OperationsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and work with advanced Pivot Tables, advanced Excel functions, and exposure to Macros.Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for process improvementsKnowledge and experience in MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning.PREFERRED:In depth understanding of D365 is a major preference.Knowledge and experience in MRP and ERP systems inventory control, materials requirements planning, item master, demand planning, and advanced supply chain planning.Experience in analytics, inventory, logistics and parts stock management.
