Brulin has a fantastic career opportunity for a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset. The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Duties involve recording financial transactions, preparing, and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. This position involves advanced accounting tasks, leadership responsibilities, and collaboration with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making.Position Objectives and Primary ResponsibilitiesClose: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals. Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reporting activities.Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP accounting standards.Analysis: Assist CFO with in-depth analysis of financial data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, monitor budget vs actual performance, investigate variances, and provide explanations to management.Controls: Maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance. Identify control weaknesses and implement improvements as needed.Support: Assist CFO by providing documentation and account schedules during external audits and address inquiries to facilitate the audit process.Accounting: Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations, researching, and interpreting new guidance as applicable. Apply technical expertise to complex accounting transactions and provide guidance to other members of the accounting team. Position-Specific Skills Requireddegree in accounting from an accredited college or university.5 years of experience in an accounting department performing month-end close and account reconciliations.with accounting ERP systems with verifiable experience using advanced functions in Microsoft Excel.attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight munication with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
