Job Description:

Apple Roofing is seeking a Commercial Estimator in our Dallas office. As a Commercial Estimator, you will prepare takeoffs, confirm specifications, and work scope, review commercial and multifamily projects with sales team. This includes working directly with architects, owners and general contractors to offer value engineering options and challenging design and product specifications to mitigate potential risks to all parties. Projects can include commercial roofing restoration, plumbing repairs, painting, windowdoor replacement, fencing, siding, and balcony repairs.Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for working closely with sales team, designing the configuration of the product(s) and generating an estimate for the work to be performedVerifies that estimate takeoffs contains the correct products and quantitiesRecommend changes to the design and incorporate any changes requested by the customerReviews the estimate with the sales team to ensure that data is accurate, that all components of the design are captured and properly chargedModifies the estimate takeoffs per customer or sales manager requestsProvides estimates takeoffs on change orders for current projectsResponds to customer and sales team questions concerning details on the estimate andor designParticipate in pre-bids, pre-construction meetings, pre-job walk throughs, meetings and site visitsStay abreast at design requirements, applicable codes, material, roof system options, etcAny other duty, task or responsibility as assignedRequirementsEXPERIENCE:Prior quote and estimate creation experience a mustKnowledge of the Edge Estimating software a plusExperience with sloped roofs with shingles, tile, and metal a plusSKILLS:Excellent analytical and onsite problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalismExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to perform complex calculations, capable of performing "what if" analysesCapable of calculating square footage and detailed measurementsAble to quickly create and modify take-offs or large projectsProficient in Office Software like word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation softwareCapable of compiling professional sales estimates takeoffsMinimum experience: 5+ years of relevant Commercial Flat Roofing and General Contractor Construction experienceBenefitsMedical, dental and vision benefits401K option
