Job Description:

The Pharmacy Financial Supervisor is responsible for all financial aspects of 340B medication program and ongoing compliance. This position provides financial analysis and consultation to management and administration for evaluation of the hospital system performance.Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Accounting required. CPA or Masters in Business or business related area preferred.Licensure, Registration andor Certification: None.Work Experience: 3 years of financial experience required; 3+ years of healthcare financial experience preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of computer operation techniques. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data. Ability to perform coordinating complex projects. Ability to think independently and to form creative, unique solutions.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Manages all aspects of the 340B medication program including hospital patients and outpatient prescriptions using multiple different data analytics tools. Able to build and utilize data tools that allow the leadership team and organization to gather, interpret, and report data in meaningful ways to impact processes. Assists with hospital's compliance with the HRSA office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA) regulations related to the 340B drug pricing program to include: monitoring utilization records, purchasing accounts to validate splitting software, and other tools are functioning properly. Prepare monthly compliance report for director of pharmacy and executive team. Coordinates internal and external audits of the 340B program. Prepares and presents financial reports to senior management to enhance decision making, including drug cost savings, drug utilization, and opportunities to maximize the 340B program, using drug and finance applications. Manages pharmacy chargemaster to ensure accurate data is loaded in timely manner and transmitted to applicable software programs. Oversees virtual inventory of medications. Assists management with monthly report on drug expense variances, including fiscal year trends. Identifies opportunities to reduce expense through drug management programs. Supports finance and patient accounting department requests for cost data and reports. Assists with patient drug reimbursement programs.Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.Working Relationships: Works directly with patients andor customers. Works with internal external customers. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
