Wegner CPAs is partnering with a client in Columbus, WI!We are searching for a Controller with a manufacturing background to join our top-tier family-owned industry leading team to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting.Objectives Of This Role• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR, AP, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition• First-hand development and growth of accounting staff consistent with the company's succession planning initiatives.• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.• Research technical accounting issues for compliance.• Support month-end and year-end close process.• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.• Work closely with Corporate Accounting Firm• Additional Controller duties as necessary.Responsibilities & DutiesAccounting Operations: Oversee the accounting finance department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll as well as supervision of accounting staff.Financial Reporting: Oversee the production of periodic financial reports and ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.Working with Executive Team: Assist in the guidance of financial decisions and advise executives on finance matters.Financial Statements: Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements.Budget Process: Manage the budget process and develop and monitor financial performance metrics.Forecasting: Create a budget that allocates expenses in the most auspicious pliance: Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, and monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.Required Skills and Qualifications• Proven working experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Level Accountant• 10+ years of experience at the Senior Accountant role or higher• Strong background in Manufacturing highly preferred• Advanced degree in Accounting• CPA or CMA preferred.• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures• Experience with creating financial statements.• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-endyear end close process.• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
