SENIOR MERCHANDISER- Ready-to-wearOverview:Our client, a high-end contemporary womenswear brand is seeking a Senior Merchandiser who will be responsible for the product direction and performance of the soft wovens category. The individual will work closely with the Senior Director of Merchandising to develop a line that represents the brand and is aligned with the merchandise strategy for each delivery. This role is based in our NY office.Responsibilities: Create seasonal line plans for RTW componentsAnalyze weekly, monthly, seasonal data & provide hindsight analysisProvide competitive analysis: price points, silhouettes, fabric, category, etc.Identify new trends and provide seasonal merch guidanceProvidedevelop knowledge for store and E-commerce teamsAct as a liaison between Design, Sales, and ProductionManage business by analyzing sales information to identify opportunities for increasing sales and improving marginsBuild effective relationships with colleagues and cross-functional partnersRequirements:7-10 years of merchandise experienceKnowledge of marketplace and has a history of RTW SalesWell versed in all aspects of the fashion industry from fabrics, fit and constructionStrategic thinker with excellent communication skillsStrong product sense and financial acumenStrong analytical skills and reporting abilities to identify opportunities and winsPassionate and excited to be on the front lines of a growing teamSelf-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environmentTeam player and able to work independently as well as collaboratively cross-functionallyYou can use WorkGrades to collect and manage your references for free and share them with us or anyone else you choose by visiting homecandidate.
