Job Description:

SUMMARY:This Applications Engineer will be predominately supporting the LED Tubes and Pin Base product lines as well as LED retrofit products as needed. The candidate will be part of a working team that will help with creating future product roadmaps, competitor analysis, and creating Product Information Material.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Create technical product proposals to drive the development of products for the LED Tubes and Pin Base product portfolio.Product validation per the product specification, including visual aesthetics for the USC markets.Perform product and application benchmarking following standard practices and procedures and analyze product performance data.Channels and customer training, trade show support, internal and external presentations of LED systems and applications, and other assigned activities.Respond to technical questions and trouble shoot application questions of customers and Field Sales representatives.Assist the Product Manager to help Create Market Research on market size for LED Tubes, and Pin Base lamp, prepare analysis of potential market size, access to market channels and potential profit pool for LEDVANCECreate and on-going Product and Competitor benchmark of Competitors, deep dive on competitors technical and go to market abilitiesCreate Sales Support material for key LED Tube and Pin Base products. Product information is to be updated via the E Catalog, communicated to the Sales Teams via online Training sessions.QUALIFICATIONS:Hands-on experienceknowledge of solid- state lighting, application developments, engineering support to product management, R&D, sales channels, and end users.LED related thermal management, optical design, and system information.Candidate will be involved in various LED lighting applications such as Retail, Industrial, Office, and general illumination.Candidate will work closely with product management, sourcing, and R&D teams to develop the product specification, marketing materials, and product launch presentations.Strong problem resolution and decision-making skills and be able to resolve elevated issues, be creative and resourceful and display sound judgment and demonstrate accountabilitySelf-motivated; able to work both independently to complete tasks and respond to department requests, as well as collaborating with others to utilize resources and knowledge of others in identifying quality solutions.Strong organization, planning and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for both self and team to meet business requirements and deadlines.Ability to work in a time-sensitive and high volume environment.Ability to drive work both independently toward the successful attainment of department goals and project completion dates, and as part of a team to leverage input and knowledge base of others within the company in providing well rounded and thoughtful information and solutions.Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the LEDVANCE organization to effectively and professionally achieve business resultsStrong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environmentEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:A minimum of B.S. Electrical Engineering is required.0-2 Yrs of Work experienceLab skills include electrical, optical, and thermal measurement.Working knowledge and experience in Solid State Lighting, LED technology and components, and electricalthermal testing.Excellent Communication skills, must be able to work in dynamic fast paced environmentWeekly after-hours meeting for communications with suppliers and overseas team.Some Travel required (10%-15%)Intermediate skills in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint).ADDITIONAL:Relocation andor work sponsorship are not available with this position.This position requires you to be on-site in Wilmington, MA a minimum of 3 days per week.
