Our employees are committed to providing the best CARE by demonstrating compassion, accountability, respect, and expertise in everything we do.Position SummaryThe Organizational Development (OD) Specialist Employee Engagement directly contributes to the Organizational Culture and Development teams mission to create an engaging and inclusive employee experience that will translate into a high-quality patient experience.This role will directly support Jacksons CARE is Respect, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) program implementation including curriculum development and facilitation, employee committee support, and execute community events.They will contribute to and execute the systems Rewards and Recognition program including annual Service Awards , supplemental recognition weeks (HospitalNurses Weeks, Thank a Resident Day etc.), and support leaders recognition efforts and resources, as well as identify opportunities to foster a culture of gratitude.This role will contribute to Jacksons onboarding program through orientation implementation, facilitation, and new employee support; retention initiatives; training and development and related programs that foster positive cultural change to build a collaborative, engaging, and safe workplace for all employees.The OD Specialist Employee Engagement demonstrates the institutions behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise) in all interactions representing Jackson Health System.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions and responsibilities of this role include:People and culture: Assists with driving cultural change through the CARE is Respect systemwide inclusion initiative in alignment with strategic business priorities.Develops and facilitates educational workshops and training sessions around people, culture, inclusion, and equity for employees and unitteam development.Directly supports and administers CARE is Respect (DEIB) facility committees and contributes to related systemwide event and program planning and execution.Manages CARE is Respect curriculum via the LMS.Partners with change management lead to regularly collect people and culture data to assess system needs, ROI, and communications strategy.Collaborates with key stakeholders to regularly gauge people and culture needs and opportunities.Employee Engagement: Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support system-wide employee engagement including rewards and recognition program, onboarding and retention initiatives, and learning skills-building needs assessment.Assists OD team with preparation and execution of all logistics relating to new employee onboarding, special conferencesevents, customized OD projects and assists with audit and accuracy of program records, learner feedback, and content development.Performs all other related job duties as assigned.Curriculum development and facilitation: Contributes to systemwide cultural change and workforce development through the adoption of learning strategies with strong knowledge of adult learning principles linked to business strategy.Prepares, develops, and assists with the creation of employee programs and instructional deliverables (handouts, job aids, manuals).Supports NEO Day One onboarding facilitation and administration.Collaborates with subject matter experts to assess systemunit learning needs, and develops educational materials, storyboards, and training materialsscripts.Performs content review and delivery via LMS for internal initiatives (e.g. CARE is Respect, leadership supplemental support).Keeps abreast of employee engagement, training and development trends and tools in workforce development to identify ways to deliver meaningful education and training experiences that are effective, scalable, and offer positive ROI.Learning assessment and data analysis: Coordinates and maintains learning tracking tools and processes to ensure education, development, and training is addressing all aspects of intended system, facility, or unit learning needs, continuously aligning with the systems strategic goals.Regularly conducts data analysis, evaluating development and training effectiveness to ensure application of acquired skills and techniques are producing effective results, to produce benchmarks and learning and engagement roadmaps across the system.Collaborates with key learning stakeholders to prepare and assist with survey design and initial analysis.EducationMinimum Bachelor's degree in related field (HRD, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Workforce Development, HR) is required.ExperienceGenerally requires 2 to 3 years of related experience and must include direct diversity, equity, and inclusion professional experience, as well as strong facilitation and written communications experience.LicenseCertificationValid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.Jackson Health System is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, or any other status protected by law.
