Scope of PositionThe role of an Assistant Food and Beverage Manger is actively engaged in all the aspects of the daily operation of: Aura Restaurant, Tamo Bistro and Bar, Room Service, Private Dining Areas, Action Kitchen & Seaport Café. Productively partners with their culinary counterparts to provide our guests with a memorable dining experience. Is passionate about providing exceptional guest service and provides an exciting, energetic, fun, and professional place to work. Schedule RequirementsSchedule flexibility is required. The schedule will vary based on the needs of the business. Working evenings, weekends and holidays will be a regular part of this position.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging line staffManaging the operation in line with the financial budgetExecuting strong operational standardsEnsuring a robust up-selling program in all areasPartners with the kitchen to insure delivery times and maximize product qualityEnforces and follows-up on standards that insure an efficient, clean, and safe working environment.Provides our guests with memorable dining experiencesExhibits trust, respect, accountability, commitment and passionMaintains daily managers logAccurately processes the gratuities for the employeesManagesthe employee's schedule which includes all the necessary support documentationManages the schedule on a daily basis and adjusting staffing levels as the business dictatesEnsures we are in compliance with all food, health, safety, and liquor licensing laws and permits.Responsible for practicing, managing and promoting the company Vision, Mission and Purpose so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operationCompletes any duties or projects assigned by the Management.Required Job Knowledge and SkillsPossess strong relationship skillsA driven individual whose strives to achieve departmental goals.Possess a passion for food & beverage and a strong desire for development.Knowledge of front of the house operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interactionExperience in POS systems, preferably MICROSAbility to work with computers, specifically experience with EXCEL & WordCommitted to delivering a high level of customer service.Excellent grooming standardsAbility to work under pressureAbility to work on their ownAbility to multi-taskPositive attitudeGood communication skillsQualificationsExperience:Minimum of 2 years of food and beverage experienceMinimum 1 year in supervisor level positionEducation:• College degree or equivalent work experienceLanguage Skills:Fluency of the English language is required (read, write, speak)Must be able to listen to, read andor write instructions, memos, short correspondences and messages.
