The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating program management activities by performing tasks related to data tracking, analysis, and implementation of results that meet the goals/objectives of the department.OverviewThe Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.ResponsibilitiesGPM is seeking a detail-oriented Program Coordinator to assist in the coordination, project management and implementation of projects and initiatives within and for the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) and St. Jude Global (SJG). This pivotal role serves as a section/project team member for a rapidly growing epidemiology and health economics unit focused on informing global, multi-level decision-making from policy to the individual patient level. This is a unique opportunity to learn new content in many different disciplines, collaborate with researchers and clinicians from around the world, as well as to participate in important research projects that will positively impact the lives of children globally.The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:Develop project plans and/or programmatic process.Develop and track metrics for ongoing projects.Conduct desk research to explore secondary data from existing and published research regarding different health economics and finance topics.Draft project proposals, develop summary reports and create PowerPoint presentations for several health economics and finance projects.Identify, review and clean costing, billing, and other data sets, and support the team to conduct complex data analysis & interpretation.Support manuscript writing, revision, and submission to scientific journals.Assist in finding and applying for grants.Coordinate the communication between different teams by scheduling, attending and documenting meetings.Present research findings in internal meetings and/or national and international conferences.Organize the logistical aspect of on-site and/or international workshops by collaborating with GPM events and administrative teams.Make recommendations for program or process improvements by providing inputs for systemic changes to program or project management processes for better planning, scope management, and risk prevention.Skills and Abilities:Ability to look at data more critically and draw meaningful conclusions.Can handle communication upwards and downwards as needed.Presents information in a clear, well thought out way and tailored to the audience.Communicates with other teams to collect data and share reports.Demonstrates a strong understanding of more advanced data management tools, systems and processes. Is able to carry out more complex analysis of data, working with large/ complex data sets, to create summary reports.Exhibits strong critical thinking to identify trends and draw out insights; works with a high level of independence.Is able to effectively sequence and prioritize tasks within programs and works more independently to manage day to day issues, escalating as needed.All candidates must submit a cover letter to be considered for the position.Minimum EducationBachelor's degree in public health, epidemiology, health economics or a relevant field required.Minimum Experience:3+ years of experience in program management and delivery.Significant experience working with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview, MS Office).CompensationIn recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
