Analyze business problems and propose software solutions, mentor junior programmers in the departmentProvide estimates and create functional specifications and detailed design specifications for programs to be developed; convert system designs and technical specifications into program code for complex applicationsDevelop, test and maintain complex application software; comply with project standards and processes related to producing quality software products and documentation, and provide project management for moderately sized, complex effortsLead design/code review sessions and continuous process improvement effortsResearch business problems and propose software solutions, mentor junior programmers in the departmentDebug and troubleshoot existing program code and correct errors as required; provide Level-4 support to resolve systems-related issuesMonitor software releases to production in a controlled, methodical manner and verify systems are stable after patchingParticipate as a high-level technical expert in design development, coding, testing and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software for third-party customers; work with technical staff to understand problems with software, and develop specifications to resolve themWhat you need to succeed at GXO:At a minimum, you'll need:Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related technical field, or certification in software engineering from ACM or IEEE or equivalent related work or military experience2 years of relevant software development experience including creating business applications and within a fast-paced Enterprise software development environmentExperience working with, and enhancing, Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Development (CD) environmentsHands on full stack development experience using C#, .NET Core, AngularJS, SQL & No SQL databases (Oracle and Elastic preferred) It'd be great if you also have:Bachelor's degree in computer science or substantial relevant experience5 years of experience in IT solutions development with strong knowledge of the IT software development life cycle in a Fortune 500 company Microsoft certification or course work (MCSE/MCITP/SCCM) Experience in engineering end point solutions and enterprise rollout of solutions General understanding of UX design principles and patterns Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and typescript programmingSolid understanding and experience with Angular or other modern JS frameworks like React, Vue Experience UI development consuming RESTful APIs.
