Overview: Life Engagement Partner RiverWoods Durham is currently seeking a Full-time (40 hours a week), Life Engagement Partner to join our team and contribute to the implementation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, as may be directed by Life Engagement Manager. Typical hours for this position are 8:30am-5:00pm, but some flexible may be needed at time to be able to work evenings; there may also be work needed for weekend (every third) and holiday coverage required. Supports all aspects of the RiverWoods community. Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the activities program of the facility. Implement activity procedures as directed by the Life Engagement Manager by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment and crafts, escorting residents to and from activity areas, and awarding prizes, assist in scheduling residents for activities, supervise activities as necessary. Encourage residents to participate in activities, promote conversations with residents on a regular basis, routinely visit residents, conduct individual and/or group activities to encourage purpose and meaning in the lives of the residents. Participate in a quality assurance program for the activity department, as requested; participate in facility surveys (inspections) conducted by authorized government agencies as necessary. Qualifications: High school diploma required 1-2 years' experience in a healthcare or resident focused field required CPR certification preferred, not required Make a difference while making a living in an award-winning independent retirement community where your work helps change lives for the better every day.
