Job Description:

As our Assistant Controller, you will have the vital role of supporting management of all internal operations of the Finance Department, as well as assist the CFO/Controller with management of financial operations for the entire company. This position requires strong accounting and organizational skills. Proven management experience is also desired. As our Assistant Controller you will be responsible for participating in all periodic (daily, monthly, quarterly, annual) Accounting and Finance functions, internal/external financial reporting, managing external audits, and all corporate banking activities.Salary Range:Starting salary is typically between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, however, salary will ultimately be determined by the scope of the position the candidate's relevant experience, credentials/certifications and internal equity. This distinction means you are expected to be fully prepared to perform essential functions of your job remotely as deemed applicable and necessary by your manager and the Company upon declaration of a BCP event.Responsibilties: Provide support for financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payables, payroll, and budget preparation.Implementation and documentation of internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities.Facilitation of employee training programs and identification of training needs of the department.Facilitation of a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; documentation and participation in a system of controls over accounting transaction to minimize risk.Assist with the company's financial planning, budgeting, and strategic planning activities. Assist with the annual budget and forecast; reports significant budget differences to management.Provide financial analysis support to Controller, CFO, and Management on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.Facilitate the preparation of periodic financial statements with supporting journal entries, data analytics, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.Ensures that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Support Federal and state tax reporting requirements through coordination with our external Tax Accountants, monitoring of state and local filing requirements, and delivery of requested data and reportsAssist Controller/CFO/Management with development of short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.Advise business units on and assists with implementation of accounting and budgeting policies.Assist with the accuracy and timely filing of monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).Develop documentation of and maintain knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.Analyze and report on benchmarks that will be used to track the company's performance.Work with external auditors and provide needed information for the annual audits of PFC-Consolidated, PSEC, Profit Sharing Plan, and Custody and Controls exams.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.Document of compliance with all banking relationships with Controller/CFOPerform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
