Come and play an important part on our incredible team today!Job Overview:Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.As a Theatrical Services Tech at Sesame Place, you will operate and support audio, video, lighting, stage crew and other various aspects of park shows and special events for the Entertainment Department's Show and Event Operations team.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Parade Float DrivingProvides technical support to the services area of Entertainment. *Participates on special projects and assignments.Proficiently operates audio/video cues, sound/video effects, mixes live microphones, musical instruments, audio/video operation, lighting cues and lighting functions and performs stage crew duties for park shows and special events as assigned.Executes all pre-show and post show duties as outlined in the daily schedule.Participates in basic care, and maintenances of technical equipment and facilities as assigned.Consistently executes stage direction and show cues as directed by leadership.Demonstrates expertise in at least two show related roles and duties.May assist Training Team with training material.Maintains a safe work environment and meets safety requirements.Maintains a positive and flexible attitude and adapts to changing demands.Sets positive examples for fellow employees on how to Celebrate, Connect and are for our guests.Assists other Entertainment work areas within the department as assigned.Openly accepts performance critique and feedback and adapts accordingly.Enthusiastically represents SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our GuestsPerform other duties as assigned.Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.Qualifications:At least one year of experience operating audio, video, and/or lighting equipment and/or stage crew experience in a theme park or live performance setting.Must have a valid California driver's license as well as a clean driving record.At least 18 years of age.Education:A high school diploma or equivalent.Competencies:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Able to demonstrate an understanding of audio and/or video and/or stage crew duties and/or lighting console operation.Responsibility for Others:Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety requirements.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.Regular use of hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.Stand for prolonged periods of time.Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremesPerform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicalsMust be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunitiesAvailability:Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and Holidays.Training:Park wide trainings including Implicit Bias and as needed.Work Conditions:Work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e., direct sunlight, wet and/or humid)Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Able to work in an environment with moderate noise levels.Must be able to manage time wisely and set priorities effectively.Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethic/cultural backgrounds and/or language, and individuals with special needs.Compensation: $17.75 per hourStarting Base Pay:The perks of the position: Ambassadors will enjoy a fun, fast-paced environment, and great teammates, as well as:FREE park admissionDiscounts on park admission tickets and passes for family and friendsPark discounts on food, merchandise, etc.Scholarship opportunitiesExclusive employee events and giveawaysEEO Employer:SEAWORLD PARKS & ENTERTAINMENT IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
