Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to work in the company's materials testing lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of lab tests, ensuring that all testing is completed accurately and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. As a key member of our team, the Quality Control Technician will work closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective use of company resources.ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of lab tests on construction materials, including concrete, asphalt, and soilAnalyze and interpret test results, and ensure that all testing is completed accurately and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirementsMaintain lab equipment and supplies, and ensure that all lab-related activities are carried out in accordance with best practices and standardsCollaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that lab testing aligns with project requirements and timelinesCommunicate lab-related information to stakeholdersIdentify and report any quality control issues or concernsOther duties as assignedQualificationsAssociate's degree in chemistry, geology, or a related field2+ years of experience in a quality control role, preferably in the construction industryStrong technical skills, with a deep understanding of lab testing processes and proceduresStrong attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentA commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplaceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
