Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.SummaryThe Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing service to the agency's clients on their personal insurance program, as well as assisting Producers in the servicing and marketing/remarketing of new accounts in accordance with Brown & Brown procedures and quality control standards. The placement and management of new and renewal business is expected to be conducted through prompt and courteous service, while maintaining a strong emphasis on retention and growth.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide direct customer support for personal lines clientsDevelop a full understanding of the regulations governing Personal Lines insurance in the state of WashingtonReview accounts handled for adequate coverage, identify opportunities to cross sell and round out coverageIssue appropriate documentation as needed including binders, auto insurance ID cards, etc. Compose or assist in composition of highly technical or sensitive correspondenceTranslate highly technical information for the client's understandingComplete applications and preparing proposals for new and renewal business proposals/offeringsContact clients and/or underwriters to obtain additional information or answer questionsResolve policy and coverage related concerns for clients, insurance carriers, and ProducersCheck policy coverage and endorsements for accuracyCourteously communicate negative actions to the client, while offering a solution to remedy the situationBind or places coverage with acceptable carriers, adhering to appropriate carriers binding authorityKeep well-informed of developments in the marketplace, including product line offerings, changing insurance consumer trends and needs, as well as remain current on company-specific insurance products and offeringsSet up and maintain electronic file information in the Agency Management System including data entry and client & policy database maintenanceMaintain accurate and timely documentation of communication pertaining to client's insurance programReview accounts handled for adequate coverage, as well as educate, cross sell, and up sell coverageRecommend changes to insured for enhanced protection, ensuring Profit Center standards are metProcess change requests and other coverage research issuesAcknowledge receipt of FRQs within 5 days of receipt. Requests for coverage, quotes &/or additional exposures must be processed within 30 days and documented in system as to whether bound or denied.Assist with resolving Daily Download issues including Exceptions ListAssume full responsibility for service and administration of client accountsAssist the Personal Lines Leader with training and development of Account TechniciansTransact Agency Billed Policy in a timely fashion, adhering to Brown & Brown protocolReview Aged Receivables and follow up on the collection of premium payments and assist the accounting department in reconciliation of company and client accountsAssist the Personal Lines Leader with special projects as neededFollow established guidelines for workflow and system documentationConsistently meet all Brown & Brown established Quality Control practices and timelinesManage and maintain individual WA State Producer's License by attending appropriate CE classesOther duties as assigned Relevant SkillsAbility to read and interpret technical and other complex documentsExcellent interpersonal communication skillsConsistent dependability / availability; excellent attendance recordHighly organized, with ability to report the status of items on immediate basisExcellent work habits - detail oriented, works accurately, follows specific instructionsExcellent prioritization skills - sense of urgencyAbility to focus & complete tasks at hand, despite frequent interruptionsTeam player with ability to take diverse directions from multiple individualsAbility to analyze coverage and formsAbility to work well in a team environmentDesire for professional growth within in the Insurance IndustryCreative problem solverEducation And Experience RequiredThree or more years of agency Lines experience managing the service of multi-line personal lines book of businessAbility to develop and maintain positive client and carrier relationshipsWorking knowledge of MS Office - Word, Excel, OutlookCurrent WA State Insurance LicenseExperience with Agency Management Software Systems (Preferred)Professional Designations preferred (ACSR, CIC, CPCU, CISR)Working knowledge of Carrier websites preferredThis position may require routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle.
