GIG nurses are highly skilled Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses who commit to work flexible hours. Participation in the GIG Nursing Program requires scheduling a minimum number of hours, available on short notice, being flexible and subject to last minute shift cancellation. The GIG Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours and will be the first for cancellation.The Registered Nurse-GIG will float between the designated Mercy Hospital facilities in the below departments:Critical Care, Tele, Med/surg, L&D, Behavioral Health, ERFacilities in the St Louis Region include:Mercy- St LouisMercy Jefferson- FestusMercy South- South St Louis CountyMercy Washington- Washington, MOMercy Lincoln- Troy, MODepartments that utilize GIG RNsCritical CareTeleMed/surgWomen's HealthLabor and DeliveryBehavioral HealthEmergency DepartmentQualifications:Licensure: Current Multistate Registered Nurse License.Experience: Minimum 1 years' RN hospital bedside experience specialty specific, must be within the last year.Certifications: BLS certified. One or more certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.Preferred Education: BSNPreferred Experience: 2 years RN experience.
