The Medicaid Entitlement Specialist is responsible for assisting clients in the Medicaid recertification process to reactivate their insurances so NYPCC services can continue without disruption.Job Responsibilities:Contact clients that have lost their Medicaid coverage to discuss possible resolutions and next stepsWork with clients to gather, verify, and prepare the information for the Medicaid application formSubmit Medicaid application to the appropriate jurisdiction and follow up until municate with appropriate Medicaid offices by telephone, in writing, or face to faceFollow up on additional information requestedRespond to denials including, but not limited to, appearing at fair hearingsMonitor eligibility reports for coverage issuesPrepare and complete re-certification applications as requiredPerform other duties as assigned by SupervisorQualificationsMUST be Bilingual in English and SpanishBilingual; fluent in English and SpanishBachelor's Degree in a related field preferred1-2 years of experience working with Medicaid application and recertification processDesired, but not required, experience with the NY State of Health Marketplace as an AssistorExcellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workGreat attention to detail and problem-solving skillsGreat written and verbal communication skillsExceptional customer service skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointMaintains a positive attitude and is friendly, upbeat, and has a great "can do" personalityPassionate about NYPCC's mission and valuesAdditional InformationSalary: $50,000 - $55,000NYPCC is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
