Many kids who are too young to work for an organization can become a paper delivery person. Distributing papers to a neighborhood is a job that many younger children partake in. All you need is a good pair of walking shoes and the willingness to complete your responsibilities. A bicycle will help your route go by faster. This is how it works. The paper company will drop off a bundle of papers at your residence each day, and you are responsible for selling each paper. You pick a day to collect your weekly bill, and residents will tip you for your services. You could consider this job a sales job. It is a great way for younger teenagers to earn some extra money. Just remember that if you take on a paper route, if you are planning on going on vacation or leaving your area for whatever reason, you need to have a friend or relative deliver the papers for you. You will end up owing the paper company money and your customers will be upset that they never got their paper.

Babysitting

There is no age limit on babysitters, you just have to be responsible and trustworthy. This is a great way to earn some extra money, because you will be handed cash at the end of your shift. Parents need some time away from their children, and appreciate the chance to go out to dinner or attend an event. If you are trying to babysit, you should try to get the word out. Ask your family and friends. Put up flyers around your neighborhood. If you do land a job, you’ll be happy, because not only is babysitting a fun job but it’s also easy if you are good with young children.

Lawn Mowing

This is a great way to earn extra money, because you can charge a good amount to mow a lawn. Landscaping companies typically charge between 30-100 depending on the size and terrain of the property, so you could charge less than that but still make a good amount of money. Sometimes people are too busy or simply incapable of mowing their lawn. We’ve all seen lawns grow out of control, and they look bad. Nobody wants to live in a house that looks abandoned! To mow lawns, all you have to do is canvass your neighborhood and put up flyers. You will be sure to find someone who wants you to mow their lawn, and you can make some extra cash.

Snow Shoveling

If you live in an area of the United States that gets snow in the winter, then you should shovel some of it and earn some cash. You’d be surprised at how many people will want your services. All you have to do it grab a shovel, and walk around the neighborhood looking for driveways or walkways that aren’t shoveled. Once you find them, just knock and ask. From an adult perspective, it is incredibly helpful to have someone do this for you. Many middle-aged people have their own set of health ailments, like back, knee, or shoulder problems. So, passing the work onto an eager teenager is a great idea and a good investment. You can earn a bunch of money on snow days doing this.

There are many jobs out there for teenagers, but sometimes you have to be creative. Having money represents freedom. You can do the things you want to do without having to ask your parents for money. So, get out there and start working, there are plenty of ways you can earn money!
