Job Description:

Quanex is looking for a Truck Driver to join us in Cambridge, Ohio. Summary: The primary requirements of this position are to transport finished goods to customers, pick up raw materials from suppliers, shuttle materials between manufacturing and outside warehouses and assist in Shipping/Receiving as necessary. What's attractive about the Truck Driver position? * Growth Potential * Team-Oriented Environment What Success Looks Like: * Organize and maintain an efficient and timely daily schedule. * Load and unload truck using proper inventory method (FIFO) and Kanban signals. * Maintain government required logs and follow safety procedures and guidelines along with all government regulations. * Operate and drive commercial truck. Operate forklift and fill out daily forklift checklist when needed. * Assemble efficient daily pick-up and delivery schedules to ensure quick, on-time deliveries utilizing time and fuel in the most efficient manner. * Report and make minor emergency truck repairs and report other malfunctions to management to schedule repairs and maintenance to truck. * Complete all necessary paperwork and inspections. * Keep truck and work area clean and organized. * Serve as a back-up to the shipping and receiving areas when the pick-up and delivery schedule permits. Your Credentials: * Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use upper extremities, and lift or move up to 100 lbs. * Knowledge of weight laws, safety regulations, and other federal regulations. * Close visual work required. Ability to read information in a variety of formats. * Report to facility upon completion of pick-ups and before deliveries for additional assignments as time permits and is requested by management. * Must have a valid CDL-A license. Must be able to meet Federal and State DOT medical certificate requirements. * Minimum of 12 months Verifiable Tractor/Trailer experience. Hourly Range is $25-$30/hour based on experience.
