Our client, a global medical device firm, is seeking a couple of Associate Clinical / Planning Engineers for the Jacksonville Market:Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.Planning Engineer - Job SummaryThe Planning position involves communicating technical information, simulating surgeries for the customer (surgeons and medical professionals) and assisting in the design of medical products. This role includes researching, designing, and developing medical products. The employee must be able to professionally and clearly present their medical knowledge of our products and their applications to medical experts. For multiple regions of the human body.Functions, Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for the complete product rangeCommunicating technical and engineering knowledge to the customer. Simulating surgical procedures and visualizing pertinent information on web meetings. Designing patient specific products for surgical use.Designing and executing tests to simulate product use for verifying and validating product performance, reliability, and usability.Assisting in the completion of design history files for each project.Collaborates and coordinates between multiple departments: production, sales, marketing, and product management.Education & Experience RequirementsBS in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Bioengineering, or Biomedical) or equivalent field. MS or previous relevant engineering experience preferred.1+ years of Medical Device Engineering experience - preferably candidates that have experience in a clinical setting or working with clinicians. Experience communicating with / dealing with medical / hospital staff (doctors, surgeons, nurses).Understanding of human anatomy, medical device design, general product design and development.Modeling software experience. 3D CAD experience and 3D printing experience.Medical device experience preferred.Data management experience preferred.Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAdhere and support quality and safety policies and procedures.Ability to learn new software quickly.Ability to retrieve and interpret documentation.Customer support skills.Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.Ability to efficiently communicate and collaborate amongst a team.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally.Problem solving.Critical thinking.Decision making.Adaptability &flexibility.This is an onsite in Jacksonville, FL role and no relocation assistance is offered.
