In this role, you will provide guidance, expertise, and mentorship for engineering projects, technical challenges, and programs within the organization. This role will play a crucial part in defining and driving leading practices, transferring technical expertise and knowledge, and contributing subject matter expertise to improve outcomes, projects, and programs. Tuition assistance for continued education and Employee Assistance Program for personal support Focus: Lead, review, investigate, and develop appropriate recommendations for assigned engineering projects and technical challenges within specific technical disciplines and across adjacent disciplines. Actively align engineering efforts with the organization's strategic goals and contribute to the development of long-term technical strategies. Communicate effectively with others to influence and change strategy and execution. This includes clear and effective communication to both lay and expert audiences, as well as within the technical discipline. Consistently demonstrate exceptional technical skills and expertise, making significant contributions to complex projects. Identify and solve challenging technical problems to drive valuable outcomes. Actively participate in relevant industry events, conferences, and training to stay up-to-date with advancements and trends, recommending new practices or changes to programs based on state-of-the-art developments. Lead, collaborate, and influence site and/or project management regarding the strategy and execution of engineering projects, ensuring standards are met and improvements are implemented. Identify and promote opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in engineering processes, products, or systems, evaluating opportunities in terms of readiness, suitability, and risk. Provide input for strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering areas. Serve as a mentor, coach, and guide for developing talent across multiple disciplines, motivating peers and team members. Skill Set: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline and ten (10) years of experience in the related engineering field; OR Master's degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline and eight (8) years of experience; OR PhD in Engineering or related engineering discipline and six (6) years of experience. Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions. Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, verbally and in writing. Personal protective equipment, required.
