Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Oracle Systems Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of backend processing systems for businesses and organizations. As an Oracle Systems Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing applications and programs, with a focus on Oracle technologies.Responsibilities:Reverse engineer Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB) ETL processes and develop new replacement Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) processes while ensuring consistent functionality.Utilize expertise in data modeling (dimensional & relational), process improvement, normalization/de-normalization, data extraction, data cleansing, and data manipulation in a child welfare environment.Perform development work using PL/SQL in an Oracle Data Warehouse environment.Implement advanced Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) techniques including bulk select, bulk insert, arrays, dynamic SQL, and develop detailed incremental ETL processes.Develop and test maps, perform source-to-target mappings, and conduct storage capacity planning in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).Build database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures.Work in a UNIX or LINUX environment, developing Unix Shell Scripting and utilizing sftp protocols.Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement gathering, development, testing, debugging, deployment, documentation, and production support.Resolve load issues, inquiries, and perform 2nd level testing of issues and code fixes.Contribute to infrastructure upgrades and enhancements, including Oracle upgrades.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum 84 months (7 years) of experience in Oracle systems development.Expertise in reverse engineering OWB ETL processes and developing replacement ODI processes.Proficiency in data modeling, PL/SQL development, and advanced ETL techniques.Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Unix Shell Scripting, and sftp protocols.Strong understanding of SDLC principles and practices.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide guidance to large teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and make significant contributions to the backend processing systems of our organization.
