The ideal candidate will be design and implement a data infrastructure and analytical toolset to support optimization activities of the Capital Markets groupPlease double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Salary: Up to 150k base + 7% bonusLocation: New York, NY (3-4 days/week)Visa sponsorship is NOT AVAILABLEResponsibilities:Identify, design, and implement a robust infrastructure for efficient data processing.Optimize the loading, cleaning, transformation, and storage of complex financial, funding, and transactional data from various sources.Utilize SQL, Python, and Snowflake for data handling and management.Improve existing data models of BI tools, enhancing data accessibility and promoting data-driven decision-making across the bankBuild analytical tools to monitor risk: including interest rate, liquidity risks, funding, optionality and changes in risk across the marketUtilize tools to provide actionable insights for optimal balance sheet management.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, Quantitative Finance or related required. (Master's preferred)3+ years of professional experience as a data engineerAdvanced Proficiency in SQL and Python. Proven track record of deploying and managing python codebase in a production setting.Proven experience with Snowflake or similar Data Warehousing platforms.Proficiency in using data visualization tools like QlikSense, Tableau, PlotlyWorking knowledge of a Git repository for version control and collaborative developmentExperience in handling, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasetsSkilled in designing and implementing data pipelines for data flowExperience in building high impact analytical tools
