Location: This role is a hybrid working opportunity, based out of Indianapolis, IN. The Role & ResponsibilitiesThis is an exciting Senior Roadway Engineer role for my client and the opportunity to join an expanding team and business who are heavily invested in within the Transportation Civil Engineering industries. My client is looking for a highly motivated professional, who has experience across the design of both Drainage and Roadway projects. The Senior Roadway Engineer role will focus on both the design of Roadway & Drainage projects locally and nationally but will also oversee the direction & management of a team of junior engineers within the practice. Leveraging your industry experience across Roadway & Drainage projects, as the Senior Roadway Engineer you will be expected to oversee and assist the design of projects, develop project calculations, and undertake the preparation of contract documentation. As a Senior Engineer within the team, you will also review and amend other work done by engineers.As the Senior Roadway Engineer, you will be the designing both Roadway and Drainage projects as well as overseeing the management and direction of junior team members, providing guidance and development. Undertake project/site visits, coordinate with internal and external clients/project team members including sub-consultants and departments.Work with the internal business development/proposals team to help with new and current business development client opportunities. Review and undertake amendments to work/documents, ensuring quality and accuracy. Undertake geometric engineering design responsibilities, from the initial preliminary stage through to the final design stage. Requirements/QualificationsEducated with a Bachelor of Science in a related field. Professional Engineer (P.E) certification is a minimum requirement. Demonstrable experience working on Roadway/Drainage projects in the USA. Familiarity with DOT standards and requirements. Proficient using industry software applications including MicroStation, Open Roads and MS Office Suite.
