Job descriptionBefore applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.We are hiring a CAD Designer for a HYBRID role in Chanhassen, MN!Details:$31.20 per hour pay rateFull TimeContract - 6 months - 1 yearSchedule: M-F CSTHybrid in Chanhassen, MN (3 days per week in office) after trainingWhat's in it for you?Health, Dental, Vision insurance offered401k optionsWork with a great team!Only considering candidates with the following:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering field + 5 years of relevant work experience)Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).Expert in the methods to read, edit and create P&ID's, schematics, and other product documentation.Detailed knowledge of customer applications on relevant projects.Expert in the areas of manufacturing and assembly as it pertains to assigned products and projects.Expert in tools required for engineering and project execution including AutoCAD, Agile, SolidWorks and other engineering design systems. Knowledgeable of a broad range of tools that may be applicable to the discipline enabling decisions on implementation and improvement in existing systems.Professional Solidworks certification level preferred.Responsibilities:Work with all disciplines on project teams to meet schedules and project deliverables. Includes participation in design and safety reviews, status updates and process documentation as needed.Modify and create mechanical drawings from concepts and "red-lined" documents. Implement standard mechanical design and documentation.Work in conjunction with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specifications.Specify and source mechanical components for the equipment. Implement component selection standards.Create / review mechanical Bills of Materials as required for accuracy and appropriate component selection.Interface with production employees to assure high quality manufacturing and "Best Practices" in the assembly area.Review and approve changes to the mechanical manufacturing processes and standards.Initiate, update and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).Create and maintain high level mechanical area layouts.Create / review mechanical manufacturing quality and testing procedures.Support final test teams as necessary to ensure equipment is fully tested before shipment.
