Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer (QE) to play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of Quality Control, Assurance, and reliability across their products and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), experience working in an ISO9001, ISO13485, and/or AS9100 environment (or similar quality system) and ASQ certification highly preferred.Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityReporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Engineer's roles will involve:Specific duties and responsibilitiesImprove and maintain the Quality System that complies with ISO requirementsLead 8D (Eight Disciplines) problem-solving process to investigate, analyze, and resolve quality issues, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.Utilize FMEA techniques to develop and improve processes. Acquire, validate, examine, and present essential measurement data for assessing adherence to specifications and validating process capability.Investigate, evaluate, and resolve supplier quality problems by analyzing defect trends, and issuing Supplier Corrective ActionsProvide timely support of production line for quality problems, improving process performance, development of quality control plans, drive continuous quality improvement in the organizationSupport Manufacturing Engineering in new product introductions (quality planning)Support Process Engineers in process developmentParticipates in the Internal Audit Program and identifies opportunities to refine processes and practices where possible to improve the overall value of the QMS Performs and coordinates external auditsDevelops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation.Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability.Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality activities.Supports Manufacturing Engineers and Program Managers with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.Ability to use the tools, testing, inspection, Electronical tools, office skills.Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations.Experience with APQP, NPI standardization.Knowledge of product characteristics (Printed Circuit Boards)Demonstrates advanced operations, technical and people and/or process skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.Equipment usedWindows based computer and printersCopier/Printer/FaxMeasurement toolsEye loop / MicroscopeQualifications - MinimumRead, write, speak, and understand English as well as color visionBachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent time and experienceExperience with Printed Circuit Board AssemblyOutstanding ability to meet and understand customer requirements and expectationsAssures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results.Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and drive positive outcomesExperience NCMRs, Customer Complaints, CAPA, PFMEA and Control PlanStrong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, predominantly with Excel.Qualifications - PreferredTen years related experienceIn-depth knowledge of PCB manufacturing and electromechanical assemblyASQ Certified Quality EngineerSix Sigma Green or Black BeltWork environment and conditions, travel, potential hazardsThis is an electronics field service and manufacturing environment that requires the use of safety devices including glasses with side shields and ESD equipment/clothing.
