Job Overview: We are actively seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee onsite contract operations for a range of projects including maintenance, commercial remodels, office reconfigurations, new constructions, and building extensions. This role demands a robust understanding of the construction lifecycle, from project bidding to completion, emphasizing efficient management of schedules, resources, and team coordination.The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by substantial professional training in construction management.Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record in managing diverse and complex projects.At least 3 years of direct experience in ground-up construction.Demonstrated expertise in construction methods, scheduling, cost control, and team supervision.Experience managing commercial construction projects with budgets of $15 million or higher.Familiarity with onsite maintenance and construction contracts is essential.Responsibilities:Direct and manage the complete onsite construction operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Bid and secure contracts for a variety of project types, including maintenance, remodeling, and new constructions, ensuring competitive and accurate pricing.Coordinate activities across multiple trade disciplines, supervising a diverse workforce to optimize construction processes and crew efficiency.Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders including engineering, estimating, and planning departments to ensure adherence to specifications and schedules.Resolve onsite construction challenges and productivity issues, providing leadership and strategic direction to all field personnel.Collaborate with the Labor Relations Department to manage union interactions, jurisdictional disputes, and overall manpower requirements.Implement and enforce rigorous safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and adjustments to maintain a safe work environment.Engage with departments like Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to support project requirements and ensure seamless integration of operations.Position Highlights: This role is ideal for a driven individual with a passion for construction and a commitment to excellence in commercial facilities.
