The IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will help solve business/system challenges through leading discovery, information gathering and data analysis efforts. The BSA plays a critical role in developing business requirements, configuring, building, testing, certifying, installing, and maintaining all changes and modifications to supported applications, including the company ERP system. The BSA will be responsible for analyzing and documenting existing processes and requirements and may assist in business process redesign as needed.The BSA will work closely with business functional areas and other IT team members to support the various applications. The BSA will be instrumental in assisting colleagues across levels to make informed business decisions from a functional/technical perspective and drive efficiencies. Strong technical knowledge and experience in development, configuration, and support of MES/ERP systems is essential.Maximise your chances of a successful application to this job by ensuring your CV and skills are a good match.Responsibilities:Develops and maintains a working relationship and understanding of business operations and system interfaces throughout the company.Serves as the primary liaison between IT and assigned business functional areas.Responsible for requirements gathering, specification development, test plan development and execution through interviews, workflow analysis and/or facilitated discussions with others. Assist in evaluating business needs, research and perform impact analysis of new requirements or changes.Gathers, analyzes, and reports on data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and architect business solutions that leverage ERP capabilities.Documents business processes and/or system functionality. Develops and maintains the corporate knowledge base for ERP and ancillary applications and associated environments.Serves as an expert on the functional configuration, capabilities, and usage of the company ERP system.Maintains application configuration, performs testing and troubleshooting to provide functional and technical support of the organization's ERP and its ancillary systems.Supports the design, build and testing of ERP configurations, new reports, workflows and 3rd party integrations.Develops training plan and provides ongoing training to users as needed.Develops test cases and performs comprehensive functional testing.Acts as the escalation point for help desk cases to ensure timely and accurate closure of issues.Serves as the primary point of contact to manage functional and technical issues with vendors.Assists with meeting planning, note taking, and follow-up tasks.Follows change control procedures and maintains proper documentation.Demonstrates strong customer services skills and a calm, positive, professional demeanor to accurately identify and resolve user issues.Strives to determine root cause of problems, identifies resolutions and coordinates fixes through completion.  Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of projects.Actively monitors new and emerging technologies, trends, issues, and solutions to remain current of developments in the industry.Delivers quality work on time, translates planning into action, proactively monitors and controls task status by collecting and analyzing task data to anticipate and address barriers, appropriately communicates, and resolves or escalates any problems that arise. Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and company data.Provides support as needed outside of normal business hours.Participates in 24x7 production support as needed. Works both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.4 years of professional working experience as a Business Systems Analyst. 3 years of experience supporting modern ERP and IT applications; defining and mapping business processes and understanding integration between various applications. Deacom ERP experience is preferred, but not required. Manufacturing experience is a plus.Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills.Intermediate knowledge of O365 required, and deeper/advanced experience with Excel and/or Visio preferred.Excellent organizational skills.Detail-oriented.Positive attitude, highly adaptable.Ability to perform well under pressure and be resourceful in meeting deadlines.Reliable, predictable attendance is required. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.  Limited travel possible.
