SUMMARY:Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.Direct responsibility for quality control and assurance activities within the plant, including, but not limited to, customer interaction, completion of all required documentation, auditing and inspection of process adherence, researching issues to define root cause and implement long term corrective actions and other duties as assigned. Quality Engineers will work with a defined focus in either the Customer, Supplier, CMM and/or QMS areas.Customer Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities:Customer relationship management as it pertains to quality related issues, concerns and items.Completion of all customer required paperwork/documentation.Completion of all required paperwork/documentation.Collaboration within plant and across the company to improve quality output.Supervisory oversight of Customer Quality Tech (optional)Quality Engineer Skills and Competencies:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Strong organizational and prioritization skills.Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Educational Requirement:High School Diploma/GED or higherExperience Requirement:No minimum requirement, but experience in one or more of the following areas preferred.Quality Management SystemsManufacturingCustomer Interaction (Direct/Indirect)Issue ResolutionWorking Conditions/Other:Work Hours/Status: Exempt/Salary, Full Time (40 hrs/wk)Works as needed, driven by customer and company demandTravel Requirements: Minimal Travel Required (Up to 25%)Customer visitsMaintains up-to-date knowledge of compliance, trends, new technologies and best practices in areas of responsibilities.This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and competencies required of this position.
