In 2022, TechPro Power Group acquired Sentinel, extending its reach geographically and enhancing its service and engineering capacities.Location: Fort Worth, TX Electrical Power Systems EngineerWe are currently searching for an experienced Power Systems Engineer to join our expanding team. The primary role of the Power Systems Engineer is to generate power system analyses using available commercial software. This position involves creating an electrical model of the power system based on single line drawings or field notes. Upon completing the analysis, the Power Systems Engineer is responsible for producing reports and presenting findings to various customers. Our engineering analyses cater to governmental, healthcare, commercial, and manufacturing clients.Job Description:Utilize SKM Power Tools for Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash Studies.Prepare Engineering Reports detailing the results of Short Circuit, Coordination, and Arc Flash Studies for delivery.Present findings to system end-users, providing recommendations for system changes, upgrades, safety improvements, or efficiency enhancements.Use CAD to generate power system drawings from the software's output.Aid Project Managers by addressing engineering questions as they arise.Fieldwork may be necessary, at times, in various environmental conditions (heat, cold, wet/humid, dry/arid) where some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) might be required. Ability to climb ladders and stairs is essential.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field from an ABET accredited engineering program.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.Prior experience with Power Systems Analysis Software like SKM Powertools, ETap, Easy Power, or similar.Strong written and oral communication skills.Capability to self-study engineering topics while working alongside senior engineers.Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Able to pass a drug test and background investigation.PE License requiredPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with National Electric Code, NETA, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards.Knowledge of equipment ratings and relevant calculations.Understanding of system protection practices and components used for low and high voltage system protection.Job Competencies:Attention to detail.Analytical Thinking / Problem Solving.Creativity and Innovation.Job Proficiency.Customer Focus.Dependability.Job Focused Learning.Planning and Organizing / Time Management.Results Oriented.Organizational Competencies:Building Relationships and Teamwork.Integrity and Ethics.Quality Service.Safety.TechPro Power Group is an equal opportunity employer.
