Summary of Position:Are you a passionate AV System Design Engineer? Kontek is seeking a top-tier pre-sales System Design Engineer to create audio-visual (AV) systems that deliver exceptional user experiences and functionality. This role involves serving as a knowledgeable advisor, both internally and externally, who values their expertise and attention to detail.Essential Functions: Design customer-centered AV systems with attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy that ensure satisfaction and sustainability within the client environmentPartner with Account Team to effectively assess customer needsProvide Account Team with technical advisement and brainstorming during pre-sale opportunities and attend client meetings as appropriateProvide consistent customer service during any client interaction, reinforcing confidence both in KONTEK's capabilities and our trustworthiness to deliver on a commitment of excellenceMaintain effective 2-way communication with Project Manager regarding expectations and status of projects; adhere to design timelines, proactively identify and address potential challengesCollaborate with post-sales designer to ensure accurate drawings and design intentContribute to the ongoing development of our templates, methodology, and innovation effortsActively seek and demonstrate continuous growth in knowledge of current and new technologies relevant to KONTEK's product and service offerings and strategic vision.Attend relevant external trainings and learn from Level II Design teammates throughout the year as a continuing education processAchieve and maintain entry level DSP, CTS, DMC-E, Dante, and XTP-E certifications as applicableDevelop proficiency across DSP environments and multiple lines of equipment.Competencies:Cross-functional collaborationCritical needs assessment and creative problem solvingTechnological innovationClient engagementCuriosity and learning mindset to effect continuous improvementSelf-motivated team player who takes initiative to solve problems as appropriateUphold KONTEK's Core Values Required Qualifications:Demonstrated success delivering on-target with quantifiable results and customer satisfaction3+ years of experience designing a variety of commercial AV systems in various markets (i.e. education, healthcare, government, corporate, etc)4-year degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer networking or relevant experience.CTS certification or completion of CTS certification within 6 months of hirePreferred CTS-D certification.Preferred entry level DSP, DMC-E, Dante, and XTP-E certificationsPreferred familiarity with connectwise (ERP system)Able to apply basic network design principlesAbility to get approved access to healthcare systems (credentialing)Hybrid position must be able to commute to office 3 days per weekDirect client interaction experienceAll the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.Why Kontek:Working at Kontek Systems fosters a great work environment with knowledgeable and supportive personnel, promoting a team-oriented culture with positive energy.
