This position is for VSL Electrical, Signing, Lighting, a subsidiary of The Lane Construction Corporation. VSL is a specialty contractor that provides complete electrical, signing, and lighting systems solutions for complex, critical infrastructure.If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.The Senior Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the overall working conditions in compliance with local and corporate occupational safety and health regulations and procedures.Responsibilities also include leading and managing Lane's corporate safety initiatives and loss control programs.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:· Assist Project Management with the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Project Specific Safety Plan· Assist the project team with work planning activities, through risk assessments and job hazard analysis, identifying hazards and implementing controls· Provide leadership and assume ownership of our overall safety culture; foster a proactive reporting environment, and anticipate problems and providing effective solutions· Conduct regular project safety inspections and manage deficiencies· Utilize effective incident management and investigation practices· Analyze safety data to identify opportunities to develop preventive and corrective practices· Participate in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with all local, state, & federal regulations· Conduct, develop, and oversee all project wide related safety training· Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and conclusions; and monitor results to make improvements or take corrective actionQualifications:· B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health or related discipline, preferred· 5+ years of safety and health experience in Heavy/Civil Construction· CHST, ASP, preferred· Medium voltage and high voltage electrical experience is a plus· Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English, a plus· Familiarization with a safety software, a plus· Exercise excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills· Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills· Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)· Ability to travel 7-10 days per month, as required
