This ambitious and employee owned firm is urgently hiring a 5+ years experienced Geotechnical Engineer to provide consultancy and mentorship on medium to large scale - unique projects.Take the next step in your career now, scroll down to read the full role description and make your application.From long standing aviation contracts, to specialist research, the role of this Geotechnical Engineer is to constantly monitor and uphold the rigid technical standards of the department.Providing mentorship to more junior professionals when appropriate.This Company also prides itself on further education training - actively involved in industry seminars, workshops and research for NCDOT.Typical Duties will include:Supervising a team of engineers, assistant engineers and engineering assistantsActing as project manager, assigning staff and tasks and monitoring budget and scheduleAttending client meetings and performing client-related project administrative tasksAssigning laboratory tests and monitoring progress through the laboratoryIndependently evaluating and developing foundation soil parametersIndependently evaluating, selecting, performing and checking standard engineering analysesProducing field, laboratory parameters and engineering reports for further review by senior colleaguesApproving report deliverablesAssisting other professionals with technical training, proposals, invoices and marketingQualifications and Skills:BSc In Civil Engineering or related FieldProfessional Engineer (PE) License in the state of North Carolina.
