Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative engineering solutions, they are committed to revolutionizing the future of transportationIf your skills, experience, and qualifications match those in this job overview, do not delay your application.Roles & Responsibilities:Responsible for the build and inspection processes for the structural assembly and testing of primary and secondary structuresDevelop, qualify, and refine manufacturing processes to meet all design and business requirements including safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery and drive continuous improvement across these areas.Collaborate with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve large-scale production challenges. Provide training to others on operations and process improvement.You will resolve product non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement root cause analysis and corrective actionsYou will provide input into the design and development of new and existing hardware and take a lead role in the manufacturing and integration of our current and next-generation vehiclesYou will identify, plan, and execute on capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet production demandYou will develop and refine floor layouts, capacity models, and product flow analysis to ensure on-time delivery of the vehicle as a wholeYou will apply process improvement methodologies and tools (e.g. value stream mapping, problem-solving, visual management, etc.) to reduce manufacturing build hours and quality issues; increase production rates; and remove waste from complex processesManaging and executing to tight deadlinesWork with design engineers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and test requirements, then implement them.You will ideate and implement tooling and test solutions, enabling high-quality built hardwareQualifications & Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering3+ years of experience in aviation or aerospace manufacturing environmentBe comfortable with sometimes working in a production environment for long periods.Ability to make appropriate assumptions and perform trade studies using first principles and engineering fundamentals to create rationale for clear recommendationsExperience with high volume manufacturing, or design for manufacture and product development life cycle, or quality tools including root cause and corrective action, PFMEAs, QMS and process auditing and statistical analysis of quality metricsExperience with metallic manufacturing techniques and equipment for processes such as CNC fabrication, welding (orbital tube and TIG), precision cleaning, forming, inspection, etc.Demonstrated experience with CAD and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Working knowledge of Python or other coding languagesExperience in control and monitoring of complex automated systems and risk assessment/reduction of the systemStrong communication skills Ability to work overtime and weekends if requiredDesired Skills:Experience in a start-up or fast paced environmentExperience working in a flight, aviation, aerospace development programExperience transitioning parts from first article to productionExperience working with Inconel and TitaniumExperience working with 3D-printed parts, castings, or forgingsIf you would like more information, please reach out to Yasmin Hamdy at y.hamdy@
