Senior Process Engineer - Li-ion Battery Cell Manufacturing DevelopmentLike the look of this opportunity Make sure to apply fast, as a high volume of applications is expected Scroll down to read the complete job description.Innovative lithium-ion battery cell manufacturer based in Boston, MA looking for a number of Process Engineers for Li-ion Battery Cell Manufacturing Development.The role will focus on creating advanced, high-volume manufacturing processes to link the company's innovative product with the rapidly growing energy storage market.Key Responsibilities:Develop novel manufacturing processes for volume mass production, specifically for the foil cut and lamination, electrode casting, until cell assembly process areasCharacterize and develop deep understanding of critical material performance in the processes through experimentation and analysisPerform equipment and process capability studies and make improvementsWork alongside equipment design engineers and external partners to successfully complete proof of concept testsKey Skills and Experiences Required:5+ years of experience in web processing, coating, laminating and/or battery electrode manufacturing processesWeb processing technologies: slitting, die cutting, roll-to-roll processes, intermittent motion processes or similarLaminating technologies: heat sealing, adhesive sealing, etcAbility to design, optimize and qualify processes with data driven decisionsWilling to travel up to 25% of the timeLi-ion battery experience is beneficialKey words: Process Engineer / Cell Development / Manufacturing / Lithium-ion / Batteries / ProductionBy applying to this role you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
