Job Title: Data Center Technician 4 w/ Lab experienceThe full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.Number of roles open: 2Location: Santa Clara, CAInterview Process: 2-3 video interviewsContract Duration: 6 month to start - ongoing support past 6 monthsJob Description:Our client is working on state-of-the-art data center equipment and they need technical help to test, troubleshoot, repair and optimize their next generation gear.Qualifications include:Strong data center lab experienceMinimum of 5 years on-prem large scale data center experience supporting the data center equipment and/or infrastructure (Power, Space, Cooling, Equipment)Ability to debug server hardware; Server / desk top build - have experience in building servers from scratch and / or desktop systemsData Center - rack and stack - break fix on system - knowledge of system parts and being able to trouble shoot. Previous experience soldering, fixing and testing DC componentsLinux - basic linux commands - ability to install linux OS - troubleshooting simple network issues with the systemsCabling - be able to run network cables in a data centerLab support experience - has supported Hardware labs - have experience with board level debug - used oscilloscopes - comfortable putting together system boards on a bench top.Inventory experienceAbility to create solutions to previously unexperienced problemsStrong attention to detail, independent and out of box thinkingAdded bonus:Liquid cooling experience - with systems preferredHardware prototype support / debug experience
