A key Optimus power client is looking for a highly qualified and driven SCADA Engineer/IT Technologist with solid experience with OSI Monarch GMS in multiple ISOs.The successful candidate will oversee information technology (IT) skills as well as the design, implementation, and upkeep of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. A high number of candidates may make applications for this position, so make sure to send your CV and application through as soon as possible.Sr SCADA Professionals: Please don't let the title keep you from inquiring about this role as our client is flexible and willing to position the role according to the candidate's seniority.The OSI Monarch GMS experience is REQUIRED to be considered for this role.Qualified candidates please send your resume to Jennifer.Hibbetts@.Requirements & QualificationsBachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in supporting the OSI Monarch SCADA systems - this experience is a mustExperienced in developing backup/recovery strategies of SCADA System/Historian configuration and data as appropriateExperienced in delivering monitoring and notifications in a SCADA environmentUnderstanding of NERC CIP security principals; NERC CIP certification preferredExperience with supporting a Microsoft based server infrastructure; Microsoft SQL experience a plusProgramming knowledge with C, C++, C# or PythonUnderstanding of WAN and VPN conceptsAvailable in late evening hours for deployments/updatesAble to provide on rotation, after hours (24 x 7) on-call support ResponsibilitiesResponsible for initial implementation and support of a new, multi-site, high availability OSI Monarch Generation Management System in the ERCOT, NYISO, PJM, MISO, SPP, CAISO & WECC marketsSupports and troubleshoots the operational SCADA environment as well as insuring optimized monitoring and system reliability reportingWorking knowledge of OSISoft Pi historian and interfaces between Pi & MonarchDesigns, installs, optimizes, supports, and troubleshoots all aspects of the overall system, insuring solid reliabilityMentors and trains lower-level EngineersEnsure that all telemetry and controls are available and accurateConfigure and maintain alarm management of SCADA system alarms for energy controllers, customers and SCADA staffSupport OSI-Monarch's Power System Applications including Energy Control Algorithm (ECA) and Automatic Generation Control (AGC)Maintains Monarch custom DB configurationsTechnologies/Applications in Scope:OSI Monarch Suite and interfacesOSISoft Pi Historian and interfacesC ProgrammingMODBUS / DNP3 / ICCP / PI to PIMicrosoft 2008 Server R2 & SQL Server 2008 R2Plant communications and connectivity (MODBUS/DNP/ICCP/Pi to Pi Connections)Per our client's specifications, candidates are required to be US Citizens, Green Card holders, or independently authorized to work in the US .
