A sports marketing agencyis seeking a high-energy accountant, who is looking for a career instead of a job, to join one of the most dynamic and exciting accounting teams in the city.Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant position will work closely with our Senior Account, Accounts Payable and ReceivableManagers on a regular basis and report directly to our Controller while focusing on timely quarterly and year-end financial reporting.Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform timely account reconciliation and general ledger reviewsMonthly bank reconciliationsWork regularly with Accounts Payable Manager and assist in the payable processWork regularly with Accounts Receivable Manager and assist in the receivable processWork closely with Controller to prepare Quarterly and Yr-End Workpapers on a timely basisMaintain, understand and when necessary develop new policies and procedures related to the employee reimbursement process. Working with corporate credit cards, receipt submission, and basic travel & entertainment rules and regulationsMaintain financial reports, records and general ledger account backup and supportAd-hoc projects as needed throughout the year - examples: corporate risk & company insurance premiums, state taxes, office space/lease projects, setting up and implanting vendor programs for travel, closing budgets with Budget Managers, creating agenda for our Budget Manager Meetings, etc...Minimum Qualifications4 year-degree in Accounting/Business or related field0-5 years experienceProficient in MS Office, particularly ExcelAttention to detail while maintaining the ability to multitaskStrong organization skills, problem resolution, critical thinking, and communication skillsIndependent self-starter, but also a team playerBenefitsCompetitive benefits package, including 401k, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, and bonus programWork-Life Balance, no crazy tax seasons or long hours and half-day Friday in the summerGreatenergetic workforce, new office build-out and work environmentPrimarily work from Atlanta Office but will have options to occasionally work from home as needed.Optional travel to our events - Masters (Augusta, GA), College Slam Dunk and 3 Point Contest (city and week of Final Four), High School All-American Game (Orlando, FL) among many others.
