Support the Test Engineering function by providing guidance and support to all test engineers. Serve as Test Engineer mentor and lead.Enjoy being a Senior Test Engineer with a global provider of innovative manufacturing solutions for customers in aerospace and defense.Position SummaryDevelopment of test solutions including for PCB, PCBA, CCA, SMT and cablesTypically assigned to develop test specifications and test solutions of low to medium complexityThe tasks comprising a test solution development may include, but are not limited to, Design For Test (DFT), design, assembly, debug, validation, deployment, and emergency support of electrical hardware, mechanical hardware, optical hardware and software.o Electrical hardware typically includes, but is not limited to:GPIB, USB and RS-232 controlled equipmentPXI and LXI based test equipmentDesign of custom circuitry implemented in custom circuit boards and cablesMechanical hardware typically includes, but is not limited to:Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) chamber racksBench-test setups19" equipment racksCustom automated high-throughput fixtures with probe fields, and top, bottom, and side mounted pneumatically actuated modules.Software and compilers typically includes, but is not limited to:LabWindows/CVI, LabView and TestStand, C#, ANSI C and Visual C++Manages all aspects of complex projectsAdhere to General Requirements of Team MembersPerform other assignments as requiredDevelopment of test solution quotes typically include, but are not limited to:o Price and schedule commitmento Hardware, Software, and Documentation package descriptiono Specification of tester validation criteria and required customer deliverables.o The process of developing test solution quotes includes, but is not limited to:o Use of quote tools.o Completion of quotes on-scheduleRequired Skills and Qualifications· Understands Manufacturing Test Strategy and demonstrates proficiency in test development.· Knowledge of Test Development areas including structural and functional test.· Functional Test Specifications and Design For Test Analysis.· Demonstrated hands-on practical knowledge in a test development environment.· Appreciation and understanding of relevant industry standards and specifications.· Demonstrated ability to consistently provide innovative manufacturing test solutions.· Recognized ability to write, contribute to presentations, speak, and to assist in representing Test Development to, external customers, and technology peer groups in the industry.· Must maintain up-to-date knowledge in deployable test technologies as a continuous improvement of core competency.· Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team MembersRequired Experience and Education· BSEE, BSEET or MSEE Required· Minimum 3 years' experience in a test development environment· Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
