This person will be based in Columbus, IN and surrounding clinics.The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for medical front desk receptionist duties including greeting patients in a friendly manner, and ensuring patients are accurately checked in and prepared for their appointments in a timely manner.Patient Care Coordinator ResponsibilitiesResponsible for front desk receptionist duties, including answering phone calls, greeting patients, obtaining required patient information, and ensuring that the entrance area is clean and organizedAssist patients with scheduling appointmentsEffectively maintain on-time appointment schedules by notifying physicians when patients have arrivedRetrieve and file patient records as neededCollect payment from patientsMaintain accurate patient records by updating patient's information and scanning documents into EMR as neededResponsible for office supply inventory, including checking, ordering and stocking suppliesProtect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of patient recordsContribute to team effort by assisting with additional duties and when support is requestedMay be required to travel to other office locationsPatient Care Coordinator QualificationsExperience as a front-office receptionist or assisting in an office or healthcare clinic or in customer servicePrior experience working in a podiatric or orthopedic practice is preferredMedical billing and coding experience is highly preferredBilingual Spanish is highly preferredExperience working in an EMR, Athenahealth is preferredMust be an effective communicator with excellent grammar and interpersonal skillsExceptional customer service orientation featuring empathetic, compassionate, and professional demeanor with each interactionDemonstrated experience as a motivated and dedicated team member with a stable work historyThrives in a fast-paced collaborative environmentReliable transportation and the ability to pass a drug test and a background check is requiredCompensationCompensation is commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience.Job Type: Full-time#ClinOps03
