Their customers include Fortune 1000 companies across various industries, such as food and beverage, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, etc. Examples include providing medical gas to large clinic chains such as PetSmart Pet Hospitals and CO2 for top restaurant chains such as Panda Express. Their industry produces, distributes, and sells atmospheric gases and other specialty products.Job OverviewOur client seeks a Supply Chain Manager to build, develop, and manage a supply network to service our industrial and healthcare segments. This role manages multiple supply partners nationwide to create a stable and strategic network for current and future customers. In addition, this role will also identify opportunities to reduce total costs, provide supply continuity, deliver on quality and service expectations, and work with Supply Chain and Business Development departments to build and manage effective and efficient supplier relationships.What You'll Do:Develop and build professional partnership arrangements with suppliers.Establish formal Service Level Agreements with the supply network.Assist in developing procurement strategies and plans with stakeholders to reduce total cost and improve availability, quality, service, and innovation.Bring adoption to the Preferred Supplier Program.Anticipate, negotiate, and execute agreements with suppliers.Continuously optimize the network through spend reduction andor value enhancement.Conduct market and risk analysis to drive industry strategies.Develop a comprehensive understanding of all gas suppliers and become the business-wide subject matter expert from a technical and commercial perspective.Own supplier qualification process by collaborating and developing positive relationships with internalexternal stakeholders.Obtain data from varied sources to identify and support network optimization opportunities.Assist with after-hours support approximately one week per quarter.QualificationsBachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Analytics, Business Management, or related.10+ years of procurement experience in sourcing or category management.Strong project management skills and capable of juggling competing priorities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Drive for continuous learning and improvement to stay current on the supply chain landscape.Strategic and creative thinking.Key CompetenciesExcellent negotiation, communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrating ability to lead in times of change with a strategic mindset.Abilityexperience to lead the category in a national procurement network.Ability to drive innovation, continuous improvement, and implement sustainability targets with suppliers.Working skills on MS Office components, including strong Excel skills.Knowledge of Salesforce and TableauCritical thinking and problem-solvingAbility to work on a team and collaborate across the organization.An appetite for change and ability to pivot quickly.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience working in the Industrial Gas or Propane Industry is a bonus.Travel: 20-30% Maximum
