This candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the operational vision for our client's financial and accounting functions. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, this person will oversee the implementation of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), optimize revenue recognition, manage cash and investments efficiently, and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial information to support strategic decision-making at all levels.Why this Opportunity?Culture: Our client is a dynamic company committed to excellence in the financial sector. They foster a collaborative and innovative environment where talented professionals thrive.Workplace (On-site, Hybrid, Remote): Hybrid (4 days in office1 at home) in Tampa, FL.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university.Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license recommended but not required.Minimum of ten years of combined experience in accounting andor financial statement preparation and leadership roles.Profound understanding of GAAP and its application.Experience with SaaS and cooperative accounting principles preferred.Familiarity with Sage Intacct and accounting systems implementationsintegrations is advantageous.Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare accurate financial reports promptly.Proficiency in enterprise resource planning technology and Microsoft Office Suite.Proven ability to lead and supervise staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.Description:Lead the application of accounting principles, develop accounting practices, and maintain effective internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP.Direct the preparation of monthly financial reporting, manage accounts payable and receivable processes.Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure accurate financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and regulatory compliance.Manage treasury operations to optimize cash and investment utilization in alignment with organizational objectives.Cultivate professional relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information dissemination.Provide mentorship, set goals, and foster career development for finance and accounting team members to enhance operational efficiency and professional growth.
