We're supporting our client, specializes in the design and construction of large and small scale production plants for innovative chemical products and processes based in Florence, AL who are looking for a Automation Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Automation Engineer will have 2-3 years' experience programming PLCs using Ladder Logic and Function Block and be familiar with various PLC brands such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.Salary: Benefits: Benefits: Comprehensive benefit package including medical, 401K, leave, and supplemental coverages, some available after probationary periodJob Type: Direct HireLocation: Florence ALJob Start date: ASAPHours: 8-5 Monday-Friday; must be able to work on short notice and work extra hours, including weekends, if neededResponsibilities:to assigned supervisor.and adhere to all active contracts and confidentiality agreements with company and associated clients.and adhere to all safety rules procedures and complete all necessary safety training.with project managers to assess client needs related to automation.project managers in preparation of project bids and cost estimation.engineering input to projects as required.control panelssystems to meet project requirements.AutoCAD drawingsschematics for control system design.Electrical panels according to electrical schematics.purchase, and receive materials for control system fabrication.written and verbal direction to ensure efficient completion of projects.project status to project managers as necessary.with project managers and accounting personnel to accurately document project costs.other functions in the Automation Department as requested.the use of both hands to perform tasks.and handling equipment and materials of up to 50lbs.overhead, stooping, kneeling, walking, talking, hearing, reading, and seeing.About You:Degree or Electrical Certification with experience.years experience programming PLCs using Ladder Logic and Function Block and be familiar with various PLC brands such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.Design and Troubleshooting experience a plus.be able to travel when needed, including international travel (not full-time travel).to design basic electrical control circuits following NEC guidelines.to calibrate and troubleshoot electrical controls and instrumentation.a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment and have the ability to use that understanding to troubleshoot systems.to understand automated equipment functions; chemical processes; and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.to build electrical panels.to program HMI graphic interfaces employing situational awareness philosophy a plus.of and ability to use AutoCAD and other design software to produce electrical schematics.of and ability to use Microsoft Office software, especially Word and Excel.to follow written and verbal directions.be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.to maintain a clean work environment.to maintain an effective, courteous, and tactful relationship with other employees and clients.be on time and have a good attitude at work.to be assume other job duties as necessary to complete projects.Job Application:If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with your full Resume - or call us now.
