We believe that in person collaboration is critical for TopView Group's continued success, therefore this role will be a full time, on site position at our kitchen facility located in Midtown Manhattan. Ability to work one weekend day per week and occasional holiday availability is required.As the Senior Director, Food Services, you will manage all food and beverage services, food prep operations and concession operations across all product lines including various bus and boat tours. The position will report to the SVP of Operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences while always striving to deliver the highest level of culinary and experiential product to our customers.Key Responsibilities:Lead all facets of food and beverage services including food prep operations, food & beverage service operations, concessions sales etc. across all bus and boat tour offeringsMaintain safe working environment in all areas including various food preparation, food handling and food service areasEnsure quality of food and service meet and exceed customer expectationsDevelop, maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each job functionDevelop resource allocation methodology for staffing each type of event based on sales projectionsOptimize production and service process to continually improve cost effectiveness of our offeringsCollaborate with Executive Chef to continuously refine and develop new recipes and offerings, for various events and seasonsManage contractor relationships with 3rd party vendors including catering services, food & beverage vendors, delivery service providers, staffing agencies etc.Partner with and manage catering service providers to ensure their quality of food and service meets and exceeds our expectationsEnsure right inventory levels of food, beverage, supplies and equipment are maintained at all times and re-ordering procedures are being adhered toMinimize waste in prep and ordering processesHire, train, motivate and performance manage team membersIncrease flexibility of employees through cross training and maintain an accurate cross training matrix for the departmentCollaborate effectively with other teams such as Water Tours, Bus Operations, Marketing etc. to ensure pre-planning and scheduling of themed tours runs smoothlyPartner closely with group Sales to close private and large group events, understand the nuances of each experience and deliver on these expectationsCollaborate with customer service on any food service related issuesDeal with any in person customer escalationsStay abreast of industry trends and suggest lead new ideas for additional revenue streamsQualifications:To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:Degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent professional experience15+ years of food service management experience, preferably in high volume hospitality industryUnderstanding of food safety, preparation and handling regulationsSound knowledge of process optimizationStrong leadership experience in leading, motivating and performance managing teams of 50+Strong data analysis skills including but not limited to forecasting, workforce planning, scheduling, resource allocation, financial planning etc.Able to perform root cause analysis and present logical conclusionsExperience with various productivity, project management and financial suites like Google Workspace, MSOffice, , , SAP, Netsuite etc.Able to establish priorities and manage workloadEffective verbal and written communication skillsExperience negotiating with vendors on price, quality and payment termsFamiliarity with safety and environmental regulations from agencies like Department of Health, EPA and OSHACommercial kitchen experience (preferred)Experience managing a union workforce (preferred)Able to perform physical aspects of the role, including but not limited to regularly lifting andor moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 poundsJoin our dynamic and dedicated team at TopView World and contribute to our continued success in delivering exceptional sightseeing experiences to guests worldwide.Please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and how you would contribute to our vision.
